The concept of 'The Boardroom' has been developed in response. The Boardroom is an interactive peer-to-peer mentoring and networking activity, where business owners can support one other.

As the title suggests, the sessions take place in the style of a board meeting, with several participants gathered around a boardroom table, assisted by a trained facilitator.

The Boardroom offers an opportunity for participants to benefit from their fellow participants' range of experiences in business as well as in general life. Attendees can bring particular issues or questions to the table for discussion, with the aim of gathering fresh ideas, and approaches, which may result in significant breakthroughs in their businesses.

Whether you want to talk about how to obtain finance, what marketing style is best for your business or where your business should expand next, The Boardroom offers a platform for you to air your issues, share your own experiences, and have fruitful and engaging discussions with like-minded entrepreneurs.

WHICH BOARDROOM?

Two separate Boardrooms will be running at The Business Show - the first will cater for aspiring business people and recent start-ups, while the second will target small business owners who have been operating for more than three years.

THE START-UP BOARDROOM

Share your start-up journey, meet other entrepreneurs in the incubation period and within their first 24 months of business. Discuss issues such as:

• What do I include in a business plan?
• How much should I invest in a website?
• Where should I put my precious marketing spend?

THE SME BOARDROOM

A chance for small business owners to put their heads together and bring ideas to the table. Share, learn and grow! For business owners with three or more years of operational experience, discussing issues such as:

• I am still working 60+ hours a week. Is now a good time to take on staff?
• Does my brand reflect my business' success?
• My revenue is constantly increasing, why aren't my profits?
