What sort of company to set up

This session will discuss the different legal structures that can be used to operate a business in the UK and the impact of choice of structure on taxation, funding, investment and exit.

The session will focus on both for-profit entities and companies limited by guarantee and Community Interest Companies in the context of social enterprise businesses. The speaker will suggest some hybrid structures that can provide the flexibility of for-profit entities but some of the benefits of the more traditional social enterprise structures.

About Michael Buckworth

Michael Buckworth is the senior partner of Buckworth Solicitors. Mr Buckworth trained, qualified and worked for two of the world's leading law firms for 8 years before setting up Buckworth Solicitors in 2011.
