Starting a business? Expanding a business?
Keen to make more money?

Business Startup 2008 is the UK’s largest exhibition for people starting and expanding a small business. Just one day at the Business Startup show will help you make contacts, help your business run smoothly and most importantly: make you more money.

The UK is the best place in the world if you are starting or running a small business, and with the help of our Government supporters and commercial sponsors we are passionate about helping small businesses.

The event has been running for nearly ten years and is undoubtedly the largest that has ever been staged for people starting a business. With a huge diversity of speakers, ranging from Dragons Den’s James Caan to Caprice Bourret to David Gold these people will talk about their own experiences of starting a business and hopefully give you the advice and guidance to find the shortcuts and avoid the pitfalls.

Showcasing over 200 exhibitors this year and many vibrant and innovative live events this show is a must for the entrepreneurs of this generation starting out in business. Exhibitors will be on hand to help and advise with every issue faced when starting or running a small business: from websites to taxation, accountancy to bookkeeping, raising finance to controlling cash flow. No matter what your individual circumstance and needs are, Business Startup will help you be successful.

But Business Startup is not just about practical help and advice associated with starting a business. A visit to the show can be a fun day out - The Midas Touch, Speed Networking, 121 workshops ... these are all exciting, live features that you can learn from and be utterly entertained by.

In addition to the vast array of business support and guidance on offer we have a variety of Business Opportunities ranging from running your own online business to starting out in healthcare.

If you asked 1,000 people starting their own business whether they regretted it, 99% would say they have absolutely no regrets. Starting a business is brilliant. Running a business is brilliant. But to be successful in business you must always be making new contacts, learning new skills and honing those you already possess.

There really is only one place to acquire such expert advice and knowledge all under one roof.

Latest News - Business startups are at record levels despite or because of the slow down in the economy.

It is estimated that nearly 500,000 businesses started in the UK last year, which is a huge increase of 20% on the previous year. You would imagine that an economic downturn would hinder the number of small businesses starting up, but according to The Prysm Group, organisers of the UK’s largest small business exhibition – Business Startup, a downturn in the economy merely accelerates the hunger to leaving employment.

From the 20,000 visitors who visited the last exhibition at Olympia in November:
75% of all visitors who are starting a business will employ at least one person.
